Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
Pick a mode from the home screen, then tap the big play button. Dance while the music plays; when it stops, do the mode's action (freeze, sit, grab a chair, or unwrap a layer). Tap the trophy when you have a winner.
Is StopDance safe for my child?
Yes. There are no ads, no in-app purchases shown to children, no accounts, and no data collection. Grown-up settings sit behind a parental gate. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. StopDance ships with kid-safe, royalty-free music and works fully offline. An optional feature lets a parent connect their own Apple Music on supported devices.
How do I change the language, controls, or sound?
Open the menu (top corner), then Settings. From there you can change the language, switch left/right-handed controls, toggle sound & haptics, and turn victory cheers on or off.
Can I use my own music?
On supported Apple devices, a parent can optionally connect Apple Music to play a personal playlist, using their own Apple Music subscription. On other devices the app uses its built-in music.
Why are some songs missing from my playlist?
When you play your own Apple Music playlist, StopDance automatically hides songs marked explicit, based on the age you set for your child — explicit songs only appear at the oldest (17+) setting. This keeps the game kid-safe. The built-in songs are always kid-safe, so nothing is hidden there.
The dancers or music stopped working
Try fully closing and reopening the app. If the issue continues, email [email protected] with your device model and OS version and we'll help.
How do I delete my data?
StopDance stores only local settings on your device and collects nothing on our side. Uninstalling the app (or clearing its data) removes everything.
